Fabless semiconductor supplier KDPOF provides innovative high-speed optical networking for harsh environments. Making gigabit communications over fiber optics a reality, KDPOF technology supplies 1 Gb/s POF links for automotive, industrial, and home networks. Founded in 2010 in Madrid, Spain, KDPOF offer their cost-effective technology as either ASSP or IP (Intellectual Property) to be integrated in SoCs (System-on-Chips). KDPOF has about 50 employees, we are in full expansion due to the development of innovative products in the sector and the creation of a unique factory in Spain. As a result, we are looking for an Automotive Business Development Manager (Graduate).

Responsibilities of the Automotive Business Development Manager include


  • Develop and drive strong technical and commercial engagement within the target OEM and Tier-1 accounts in the field of in-vehicle connectivity.
  • Establish and maintain personal contact with key customer decision makers at the highest level to provide effective information flow.
  • Identify new customer projects, propose technical solutions utilizing KDPOF products and services, manage negotiations towards WIN/WIN outcomes, and maintain support throughout the product development cycle.
  • Develop appropriate product proposals for the customer and co-ordinate an optimum support. This involves close cooperation and communication with KDPOF’s field application engineering teams as well as intensive communication with the responsible KDPOF market development line.
  • Contribute to new product definition together with the customer and the respective KDPOF market development line to secure KDPOF’s long term success in automotive.
  • Promote KDPOF’s portfolio of connectivity solutions for present and future architectures through participation in automotive trade events and participate in public speaking opportunities.
  • Work with design, product engineering and marketing teams to enable the successful launch of new products. Develop compelling promotion material for use by sales and technical marketing colleagues.
  • Understand the customer ‘s business strategy, opportunities and issues, short-term and long-term.
  • Understand formal & informal hierarchy, decision makers, collecting insights at customers.
  • Effective delegation and coordination of logistic/quality issues to the relevant people within KDPOF.


Profile


  • Electrical Engineering degree or similar; skills about electronic/semiconductor products in the automotive environment and their usage in ADAS, BMS and Domain controllers.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in semiconductor Marketing or Sales.
