KD offers solutions for 1 Gb/s  Optical Communications over POF, consisting of the banded of two devices: KD1053 PCS /PMA and the KD9351 (FOT).

KD’s transceiver is implemented with two components: the KD1053 and KD9351. The KD1053 implements the PCS and PMA sublayers of IEEE Std 802.3bv, and the KD9351 implements the PMD sublayer. This chip-set is well suited for deployment in several automotive use cases: communication backbone, smart antenna link, infotainment, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Multigiga

The KD7251 is the new KD´s ASIC that implements the BASE-AU physical layers, compliant with the IEEE Std 802.3cz™ specification for automotive multi-gigabit optical communication links over multi-mode glass optical fiber OM3. It is a single-chip solution with on-chip optical interface, supporting 2.5, 5, and 10 Gb/s, and includes bridging functionalities to enable the connectivity of MIPI sensors, as cameras and radar (CSI-2®), displays (DSI-2℠), or AI processors (PCIe®) in the vehicle.

The multigigabit solution is single optical chip module KD7251, transmitting over Glass Optical Fiber (GOF) aimed for automotive in-vehicle communications.
