Work Profile

At KD, company dedicated to the R&D and commercialization of high-speed optical communications chips, we are looking for a Graduate Test Engineer. We welcome a self-driven, and motivated Graduate Engineer to join our group to help the team test and develop the next generation of transceivers for optical communications in the automotive sector.



Responsibilities for the Graduate Test Engineer include

  • Process sustainment of the new fab test activities, with a keen eye for problem solving and able to address, solve and prevent line stoppage.
  • Development of test program/routines in IG-XL, (Visual Basic for Applications /VBA), based on the given technical documentation and requirements.
  • Help with lot disposition: the Graduate Engineer will need to identify and address yield issues and follow the defined, out-of-control action plans (OCAPs).
  • Collate and report test results (e.g. parametric, SPC, optical characterisation…) from lot data available.
  • Work closely with operations and R&D to help drive test times down and improve throughput.
  • Organize and perform reliability data, the candidate must have the ability to organise runs of complex test-flows based on optimised execution times.
  • Support other activities such as FMEA through testing and characterization of customer field returns.
  • Support production test lead with commissioning of new equipment as well as product & tool qualification, Gage R&R, & release to production.

Requirement Skills

  • Knowledge of design for test techniques for both digital & analogue microelectronics is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of other languages (M4, R, TCL, Python, Matlab, Visual Basic for Applications, shell scripting languages) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in embedded programming, using both high level programming languages (C) and low-level assembly is welcome.
  • Electronic engineering design and analysis of PCB schematics is encouraged.
  • Proficiency with MS Office is essential, especially with excel.

Qualification

PhD or master’s in engineering preferred, minimum of bachelor’s in electrical/electronic engineering, or related discipline.
